The government of Australia frequently identifies the possibility of skills shortage in the Australian labour market. The reports predict concern for the shortage of nurses all over the country.
According to a detailed report of Australia’s Future Health Workforce (2004), the Department of Health forecasted approximately a shortage of 85,000 nurses by 2025. It is estimated the number can go up to 123,000 by 2030.[1]
